But I really don't think you should worry too much about the language barrier. After all, if you do make it into the club, at most events you will still be the only non-local. I've been in the club for about 1.5 years (most of the time as the only non-native Cantonese speaker), but everyone is very welcoming regardless. There will often be times when conversations happen and you won't understand, but someone will usually explain to you after (I'm quite used to this from work and other scenarios).
Anyways, don't worry about it too much. And any Cantonese that you can show off will be greatly appreciated
For translation, I recommend using the Google Translate extension on Chrome. Much better than what I was doing before.
Just try your best at understanding what people are talking about and add something to the conversations on the chat. Try your best to be meaninful (not always easy). The Chairman and others will notice if you're making a large amount of useless comments just for the coins
Other than that, do lots of reading so you can fully understand what the club is about, and best of luck to you

Oh yeah I genuinely wasn't worried about the language barrier at all. I love speaking to people from all different places and cultures and I'm very used to dealing with a language barrier. Plus I knew that everyone would be very welcoming and friendly. I meant more it's reassuring that it won't be a big inconvenience to other people that I don't speak much Cantonese. After all, I don't want to disturb at all! But yes I'm looking forward to showing off my very limited Cantonese

I've never been to the blow job competition, but I have atteneded/been a judge for the hand job competition. And it's a similar set up (though I won't explain more, it's good to have some things to wonder about/look forward to).
But I can say that one of the ladies (not sure which one, as the guys are blindfolded) was realllly good - had to use a lot of concentration so things wouldn't end prematurely
